Lake Windcrest Men’s Golf Association Meeting

Ascertainment of Quorum

Four of the five MGA board members were present and a quorum was reached.  The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm.

Approval of Minutes

Minutes from the March Board meeting were approved.

Treasury Report

Robert Shaw provided the following updates:

  • The initial check provided by ClubCorp was issued to the wrong entity.  A new check will be issued and deposited into the LWMGA bank account.
  • The current projection based on the previous tournaments and known expenses (Senior Interclub, Pairing Parties, etc) shows us to be right on budget.  The variable will be beer consumption.

Tournament TransparencyTransparency suggestions made at the April board meeting were discussed: Handicap measurement (85%) and allocation (60/40) need to be communicated on the flyer and signup websitePrizes from club will be written on board so that they are captured when the pictures are taken. 
Website UpdateWebsite will be updated with pictures and point totals this week.
MGA Cup14 participants is the current plan for the MGA Cup tournament based on the current size of the MGA membership
MGA Board ElectionsBoard positions will be posted in October (for 7 positions) and will be voted on in the November meeting
