Ascertainment of Quorum
All MGA board members were present, and a quorum was reached. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm.
Approval of Minutes
Reading of the minutes from the May meeting was waived.
Treasury Report
Robert Shaw provided the following updates:
- Balance in the bank as of May 31, 2023 is $3259.60
- Expenses for 3-man tournament came in under budget.
- Separate savings account for $5 holdback has been created

New Business

| Match Play tournament | The next tournament will be the Match Play tournament on May 15th 2023. Sign-ups will close May 12th at 5PM.Players who want to participate, but will be unable to attend the seeding tournament on May 15th will be allowed to participateBased on the number of entrants, the top scoring players will receive a first-round bye. Lower scoring players and those who sign-up but don’t participate in the May 15th tournament will be seeded and will play in the first round.Austin will update the flyer and send to the LWMGA for reviewHandicaps for each match will use the current player handicap as per GHIN – this was proposed and approved by a board vote.If two players are unable to successfully schedule their match within the two-week window, the board will intervene and determine a path forward |
| MGA Cup Points | Bill will update the MGA Cup Points spreadsheet to fix the position sorting error |
| LWMGA Member Count | The LWMGA is currently at 105 actual members. The goal for 2023 has been set to 110 total members. |
| Hole Maintenance/Marking | LWMGA board members will assist in identifying missing or damaged hold markers (out-of-bounds, ground-under-repair, etc) to Brett and the Course management. |
| Day Money Payouts | The board reviewed the day money process for payouts. Going forward, any day money prize will pay all ties, splitting the money to participants. Gross/Net payouts will follow the guidelines being used for club tournament payouts. |
| Plaques | Brett will determine potential locations for LWMGA plaques |
| Handicaps | The LWMGA board will review score posting for tournament and inter-league participants. If scores are not posted by individual players the board will send an email reminder to get the scores posted in GHIN. |
| Club Update | Aeration went well and course is healing rapidlyAll bunkers have been replenished with sand |
