Ascertainment of Quorum

Six MGA board members were present, and a quorum was reached. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm.

Reading of the minutes from the June meeting was waived.

Robert Shaw provided the following updates:

Balance in the bank as of July 31, 2023 is $2094.33 in checking, and $930.26 in savings
All outstanding bills have been paid
The match play cost was approximately $100 over the planned budget

No old business was discussed.

Mars vs Venus	The next tournament will be the Mars vs Venus tournament on August 12^th 2023. Sign-ups will close August 9^th at 5PMThere are currently 13 LWMGA members signed upA separate tournament will be conducted simultaneously for any LWMGA members who are not paired against a Women’s team – this will be an individual , low net tournamentPrize money will be separated for each tournament (men vs women, men vs men)Austin will update the flyer for Mars vs Venus with additional clarificationThere will not be any proximity prizes for these tournaments
LWMGA Stableford	The LWMGA Stableford tournament will be held on September 16^th. Austin will work on the flyer for this tournament to be distributed to LWMGA membersBrett will create and email the sign-up link, Bill will send to LWMGAAustin will arrange for the food for the Saturday lunch after the tournamentThis will be classified as a major tournament – Members who place will receive double MGA cup points95% of current handicap will be used
LWMGA Member Count	The LWMGA is currently at 111 actual members. The goal for 2023 has been set to 110 total members.
MGA Cup Points	The MGA Cup point spreadsheet will be updated after the August meeting
Club Update	Aeration will occur next week. Lake Windcrest will be closed Monday through Thursday
